What is sugarcane?
It’s a tall tropical grass from the family Poaceae. Sugarcane can grow to be 6 to 20 feet tall with fibrous stalks that are rich in sucrose (a type of sugar).
Where does it grow?
The sugarcane we use in Sugarlite™ is responsibly sourced from Southern Brazil. It thrives in warm climates with lots of sun and heavy seasonal rain.
Why we use it?
It’s renewable, grows quickly, and is another way we’re using natural resource to decrease our overall impact.
